Roman blinds are fabric blinds that form soft folds when raised. Roman blinds are very popular due to the large choice of designer fabrics available that can have a dramatic effect of room decor. Roman blinds are lined by a second material. This material may be specified as blackout or have a standard light blocking quality.
The raise control is by a side chain which accurately controls the raised level of the blind. It is also possible to have a basic cleat and cord system where the blind is raised to a required position and the cord is then tied off to a cleat attached to the wall neat the base of the blind.
